Design Style for your home
“Every corner has its own style”
“It’s round and around the design style for your home”
Many elements have consistent influences on modern-day interior design style. However, this trend of global design styles has had been widespread with the help of the Internet, which has allowed for many of these designs and products to be easily accessed and delivered. Globalization has certainly helped put a diverse range of interior design styles and products at hand, but with such an incredible variety it can still be hard to figure out exactly how to put together a look.
Rustic
The Rustic style proves the countryside adage that everything comes in full circle. Our explorer forefathers would laugh out that how fashionable the look is today. They certainly dreamt of plastered walls instead of rough logs and carpets instead of bare plank floors. But thanks to rustic design style – simple roots, natural textures and shapes and warmth, it’s become as popular in the heart of the city as it is out in the woods.
Rustic design style & interiors have a sense of connection to the past that’s hard to resist. Celebrate the art of re-modeling, and provide a wonderful showcase for creativity.
Contemporary
In comprehensive terms, the contemporary design style represents an about-face, from the conventions of traditional decor. It includes smooth profiles instead of ornamentation, solid or subtly patterned fabrics, minimal accessories rather than big collections.
You’ll often hear the terms “contemporary” and “modern” used interchangeably, but they’re not exactly the same thing. Modern refers to a definite design movement and follow strict guidelines whereas contemporary design, by definition, is more fluid and tolerates a bit of rule-breaking. (Keep an eye out for a guide to modern style in the near future.)
A strong emphasis on line and form — two essentials of good design — gives contemporary style its life. These rooms are designed with ample open space and natural light in mind, which makes them feel airy and friendly.
Arts and Crafts
Arts and Crafts operate within a well-defined set of framework — and for a well-defined reason. Arts and Crafts design style is driven not only by friendly design guidelines but by an entire canon of beliefs. It has a refreshing honesty and purity of spirit. Arts and Crafts interiors are full of heart and symmetry, a holistic reflection of the ideals that gave rise to the style in the first place.
Coastal
Coastal design style is as individual as its location: a saltbox, a Mediterranean villa, a tropical cottage. What’s commonly called coastal — is the style that springs to mind is “beach house.” Light and breezy, with a palette drawn from sand and shells as much as sea and sky, it whispers “summer” all year round. Coastal style is at its best when it sets a mood rather than hitting people over the head.
