All Weather Outdoor Finishes – Wash thoroughly with a low pressure washer and rinse it thoroughly with clean water to wash away dirt and grime. Synthetic wicker can be cleaned gently with a soft sponge and mild soapy water. Avoid hitting aluminium on a hard surface to avoid denting. Clean stains and spills with a little mild detergent and warm water.
Rattan Finishes – Vacuum gently with a soft bristle brush to remove dust. Exposure to unprotected ultraviolet rays may result in the gradual discoloration of the rattan. Water spills on the surface should be wiped off immediately. Avoid subjecting the rattan to extreme moisture. Dry indoor heat dries rattan, causing it to crackle and creak under pressure. Wiping occasionally with a slightly damp (not wet) sponge helps. Never subject rattan finishes to the harsh natural element of sun, rain, snow or wind.
Wood Finishes – Coat wood with paste wax (be sure to use the same type of polish as interchanging between oil and wax based polish might result in streaking) every three months during the first year of use. After the first year, application can be less frequent. To clean: Use a liquid cleaner-wax polish combination. Do not use abrasive household solvents. Use a soft, clean cloth that won’t scratch the surface. To repair scratches, use a wax repair stick. Water spills on the surface should be wiped off immediately. Exposure to variations in temperatures should be avoided and avoid exposing the furniture to unfiltered ultraviolet rays. Avoid subjecting the wood furniture to extreme moisture.
